Schools for Troubled TeensYancy Whipple
Admissions Director
Yancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Southern Utah University and an MBA from the University of Utah. He has enjoyed business his entire life. When he was in the 6th grade he and his brother bought a hay bailer and hauler, and they started "putting up" hay every summer to earn money. Since then he has been involved in many different ventures ranging from working for Fortune 500 companies to starting his own businesses. He grew up on a ranch in Southern Nevada and appreciates the core values that ranching taught him. "I didn't fully appreciate the lessons I was learning while growing up on a ranch, but I look back now and realize the extent of what I was being taught. Lessons such as honesty, trust, work ethic, responsibility, integrity; these were all things that were instilled in me at a young age through growing up and working on a ranch." Knowing and understanding the valuable impact that a working ranch can have on teenagers is much of the reason Yancy was drawn to this position. He has been involved in many different businesses in many different industries, but he loves his job at Turn-About because of the positive impact he is able to witness on a daily basis.
