Transportation to the Ranch
Transportation to Turn-About Ranch is the responsibility of the parent. However, we can recommend a professional transport/escort service if needed. You may also bring your child personally if you would like to see the program, but parents are not required to be here during admission.
The closest large airports are in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. St. George, Utah has the closest regional airport.

Turn-About Ranch - Residential Treatment for Teens on a Working Ranch

Turn-About Ranch employees are guided by the principles: Youth and Family, Growth, Teamwork, and Service.
Our residential treatment program has been providing help for troubled teens and their families for nearly 20 years. We have Master's level and Bachelor's level counselors along with non-professional staff who are screened and have a desire to work with troubled boys and girls.
Our Staff
Luke Hatch
Executive Director
Luke is an LCSW and has a BS in Psychology/Communications and an MSW from University of Utah. Luke has worked in Adolescent programs at almost every position. He worked as a line staff, a staff supervisor, a therapist and has been in administration at Turnabout as a Program Director and now the Executive Director. Some of Luke's experience has been working in Youth Corrections, addiction treatment, assisted living for mentally handicap individuals, sexual offender treatment and working with adolescents in scouting and sports. Luke was raised on a ranch in southern Nevada and knows how much it taught him about life and hard work. He loves working with adolescents and using a working cattle ranch as a tool to help the kids. In his off time he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, sports, weightlifting, and reading. Luke is married with 3 children and one on the way.
Dayna Rust
Clinical Director
Dayna was raised in Northern Utah and earned her BA degree in family studies at Utah State University. She spent four summers working in the tourism industry in AK to earn money for college. She earned her MS degree at the University of Kentucky, where she co-created and taught anger management classes to individuals on parole. She also spent a year working with juvenile sex offenders. Dayna enjoys working at TAR because she sees more positive changes and growth here than in other facilities where she has worked. In her spare time she loves to read, play the piano and travel.
Myron Carter
Barn Program Director
Myron adds so much to the Turn-About program. There is no one better at working with adolescents in this industry than Myron. He forms relationships with the kids that work therapeutically. He knows how to get adolescents to look at their lives and want to be better. Myron also runs the horsemanship program that makes Turn-About so successful. He is a true cowboy and a true horseman. No one works harder and gets work done better than Myron. Myron has been with Turn-About since its beginning and the program and students benefit from his experience in the industry.
Marty Ormond
Lodge Program Director
Marty oversees all operations at the Lodge. Marty adds a lot to the program through his loyalty and patience. He is very patient with the employees that work under him and takes a caring approach towards the kids in the program. Marty is very talented with fixing anything and does a lot more than he gets credit for. Marty is always willing to take charge of a situation and help out where he is needed.
Emilee Lott Woolsey
Academics Director
Emilee Lott Woolsey is a graduate of Southern Utah University where she received her Bachelors degree. She majored in Secondary Business Education with minors in Marketing, Administrative Assistance, and Computer Information Systems. She also has her Masters degree in Education along with an Education Administration endorsement. Emilee taught vocational education in the public school system for four years. She, along with her family, owned and operated a private boarding school for the past six years in Southern Utah. Emilee was instrumental in developing and implementing the programs Service and Experiential Learning and life Skills components. She is involved in the local community. She is a member of the city council, Lions Club, Church Young Women's Program, Riding club, and her new endeavor, the 4-H Working ranch Horse Program. Emilee loves spending time with her husband, boys, and sister; other family members, her horses, dogs, and cats.
Drew Fosse
Admissions Director
Drew Fosse is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He earned his bachelor's degree in Social Science Composite Education and has taught at various secondary schools. He has written curriculum for a number of different programs and taught Honors classes and accelerated courses. In addition to working as the Academic Director at Turn-About Ranch, he also coaches baseball for Escalante High School and is involved in local sports. Drew has significant training in technology-use in the classroom and strives to implement this training into his class instruction. He enjoys traveling, playing softball, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and family.
