Brat Camp Reality TV Series Features Turn-About Ranch
Twenty-Twenty Productions in conjunction with the UK's Channel 4 have produced a reality series affectionately called "Brat Camp". Parents applied to the program to give their teens the opportunity to attend a therapeutic residential program that specialize in troubled teens.
Seven students were selected to attend Turn-About Ranch and the Brat Camp Files aired on Channel 4 in the UK and on the ABC Family cable channel in the United States. The Brat Camp Series Premiered in the United States on the cable channel ABC Family.

BRAT CAMP follows six families whose lovely children have turned into their worst nightmare. After exhausting all their options, the parents decide to send their kids to a brat camp program in the United States. While in Utah the rebellious teens must adhere to strict rules (no cursing, no body piercing, no television) ... and must learn to respect others and themselves. The kids at Turn-About Ranch panic about what they have gotten themselves into, but the true test is to see if they can survive in the wild and turn their lives around.
ABC Television recently decided to produce their version of the Brat Camp TV series. The show aired in July 2005.
What are brat camps? This terminology was created by the TV show. These types of therapeutic schools and programs have existed for decades as a unique therapeutic alternative for teens struggling with behavioral, emotional, or academic issues. Rather than brat camps - the programs featured in the Brat Camp series are generally referred to as therapeutic boarding schools, residential treatment programs, or wilderness therapy. Each program has a unique structure and philosophy.
